One Constitutional Crisis, To Go

I am seething mad right now. And I'm ready for a down and dirty fight.

Pres. Bush came out today and basically said that he would "allow" Karl Rove and Harriett Miers to talk to the congressional committees, but not under oath nor transcripted. In other words, they will be telling lies in an echo chamber.

How dare he? This man just doesn't get that it is the responsibility of Congress to oversee the Executive Branch. He's so used to getting to do whatever he wanted without any questions being asked he's actually telling Congress they can't subpoena Rove and Miers.

WRONG!!!!!

Now, the Democrats who are in charge of these investigations need to do exactly what Bush has told them then can't. Subpoena away, boys and girls. Get the whole lot of them under oath. Make them tell the truth or perjure themselves before Congress. In Rove's case, we'll know he's lying by watching his lips moving.

So, let's have a good old constitutional crisis. Let's send it to the courts. Let's drag this out to its obvious conclusion.

I'm sick of Bush, and everything he represents.
